Kuva Cash
Expanding the original concept of peer-to-peer digital cash into a dynamically decentralized participatory economic network.
Project:
Kuva Cash is built as a money transfer app and a crypto currency trading app. There is both a mobile app and
a webpage, which served different functions and users.
The mobile app is user-facing and need to be accessible to user with a variety of technology backgrounds, whilst
the webpage was aimed at investors, as a way to inform or educate potential users and to encourage potential
user to download the app.
The research was done independently to the creation of the webpage and the app and therefore had to be
restructured to highlight the pain-points, gaps in understanding and user needs.
A challenge we faced early on was a lack of understanding of crypto currency (How it works, Why it exists), this
is part of the reason the mobile app can be used to simply transfer funds from one person to the next.
Responsibilities: User testing (card sorting, affinity mapping, preference testing); Wireframes; High-fidelity
mock-ups; Prototyping.

Conclusion:
The website proved to be an excellent tool in educating new users about a new money transfer app, but
also starting the conversation around crypto currency and how it can benefit a growing economy.
The Kuva Cash website was built and launch to much success. It drove users of existing money transfer apps
and created a large number of new users.
The website has since been updated and I worked as a team lead during that process.
