MUNCH
The unsolicited redesign of a food delivery app
Project:
Duration: 1 Month (January 2021)
Responsibilities: Research (Interviews); UI design; Wireframe, User flow.
About the Project: The Munch delivery app redesign came about after a number of conversation with service
providers ( restauranteurs and delivery people) and users.
The users spoke about the lengthy wait time caused by delivery people being too few or not in the area. The
manner in which the site's homepage is organized was edited to accompany more than one way to access the
menus, opening and closing times and other important details related to food service.
With the UI design, I also did a simple logo exploration based on different style.
Results: When tested the design seemed to alleviate the pain-point mentioned above. Whilst some work is
required to better understand the technical requirements and intern, enhance the design to better fit it to both
the business and technical side.
Working on this project gave me a better understanding of what different people think and feel about the
evolution and amalgamation of social media.

Solution:
The app is divided into three part.
The Client/User side of the app cater for the need of the user, ordering and important information
about the service provider. This part of the is separate from the other parts.
The service provider (Restaurants, Take-aways and Food Trucks) have access to a different part of the
app to edit product details and communicate with reputable couriers. This allows service providers
to access more couriers in more locations, this decrease delivery times and allows more people
access to the service.
The courier section of the app allows more people to become couriers, especially during the
pandemic. This section also increase the number of part-time couriers available to the service.
